My current work at Illinois MakerLab, followed by seven engineering projects. Each story covers what I worked on, the choices I made, and what I found.

Fabrication & robotics · May 2026–present
Build and train robot arms, revise client CAD, and plan print jobs—from clarifying requirements to preparing parts for assembly.

Flexible mechanisms · 2026
Built and tested a flexible steel hinge, comparing its shape, vibration, and bending response with Abaqus models.

Mechanism design · 2026
Designed and assembled printed folding mechanisms, adjusting panel thickness and clearance so solid parts could move together.

Experimental mechanics · 2026
Designed and folded a paper bellows, then tested how it opened under tension and examined tearing near its attachment.

Composite manufacturing · 2026
Led fabrication of a carbon-fiber beam, revising the core preparation and cure setup before the team’s load test.

Deployable structures · 2026
Modeled, built, and measured a carbon-fiber boom that holds both a coiled and an extended shape.

Systems architecture · 2025
Mapped how a proposed medical-drone control center would handle delivery requests, plan missions, and exchange information with aircraft and ground teams.

Impact simulation · 2023
Used impact simulations to study how internal walls and varying thickness change a crash box’s folding, energy absorption, and crushing force.
A little about me
I’m pursuing an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, after earning my bachelor’s degree at Institut Teknologi Bandung.
I enjoy working through both the analysis and the build: making composite parts, testing structures, assembling mechanisms, and setting up robots. At MakerLab, I also work with clients on requirements, CAD changes, and print preparation.
